Tonight I walked west. The space of the street—the path of my journey—was well-defined by the walls of buildings, and guided by sidewalks, tracks and cables. I noticed the boundary to my left was the wall of a construction site which was quiet by night, and I took it as opportunity to penetrate. Every space has a boundary, and so also has a beyond. More so than most natural landscapes, my urban landscape is cavernous—full of voids beyond the surface of streets and facades.
