Memory Map: Harbord and Major, May 2003

S and I were the last people to leave the restaurant. Truffle oil had been one of the ingredients in my meal, and I felt convinced I was under the influence of its aphrodisiac properties. We were drunk and giddy and had spent the entire meal laughing. S was swarthy and handsome and had eyes that wandered around as he spoke. We kissed against the outside wall of the restaurant, sloppy and giggling. I randomly proposed that we cross the street to continue our embraces on the south-west corner. From there our kiss-a-thon migrated to the north-east corner and finally to the north-west. We were both dressed completely in dark grey and so appeared as shadows tracing our kiss-geography of the intersection.

  1. Beautiful imagery. What a treat to get to read your words.
