The ravines of Toronto are indeed a fabulous resource and not just for the jogger or walker. I've been using my camera to get acquainted with the small ravine at the bottom of my street; it is sandwiched between the GO / VIA tracks and a new housing development. The scope of picture taking in this very small space is truly amazing. With the shift of the lense or a small reorientation of the tripod, you can take yourself from urban encroachment to early Romantic wild. I'm excited about the photographic possibilities these
in between spaces offer and plan to extend and develop a portfolio of images that document and comment on their health and well being. If you are interested in looking at the preliminary results of my investigations, follow this
