
A generation ago our government's policy on public advertising was restrictive. Billboards, for example, were seen as a blight on public space. Alcohol advertising was permitted but within strict limits. Time have changed. When beer advertisers appropriate a TTC street car, which, by the way, we've mostly paid for with our tax dollars, are we benefitting in any real way?
